Tina Mason

BSc(hons), MCSP, Registered with HCPC, MPOGP, MAACP, PhysioFirst

Tina is the owner and head physiotherapist of Brighton Physiotherapy Clinic.

Having qualified as a physiotherapist in 2001 from King’s College London University, she has worked extensively in the UK for both the NHS and in private practice and abroad, having spent several ski seasons as a Head Physiotherapist in Val D’Isere, France.

She has extensive experience in the treatment of all musculoskeletal disorders but has a keen interest in Women’s Health and has completed postgraduate training in Pelvic Health Disorders.

As well as running around after her 2 children, Tina enjoys pilates, yoga, swimming & running, as well as water sports & snowboarding (when she can!).

Tina works at both the Kemptown & Hove clinics.

Teresa Spurin (TJ) 

BSc(hons), MCSP, Registered with HCPC

Teresa (TJ) is a dynamic, highly qualified physiotherapist with extensive experience in sport and bio-mechanics. She has treated Olympic athletes and rugby internationals. 4 years with a national rugby league club and 2 years as a military physiotherapist, followed by 15 years working in private practice.

TJ has recently become a specialist in treating headaches, facial pain and TMJ disorders with both acupuncture and physiotherapy techniques.

TJ is now based at the Kemptown clinic.

Ann-Marie (Annie) Ray 

BSc(Hons), MCSP, Registered with HCPC

Annie trained at St. George’s, University of London and qualified in 2010. 
She works in both the NHS and private sector. Her current NHS practice is as a Senior Specialist Physiotherapist. 
Annie’s expertise is in rehabilitating MSK patients, particularly sport injuries as well as further injury prevention. In addition she is qualified to treat patient with significant cardiac and respiratory conditions as well as post-op patients. 
Outside of work Annie is an ex-international athlete and has continued in the sports and fitness industry by transitioning into strength training and bodybuilding.

Annie is one of our specialist Donjoy/DJO brace fitters. She can help assess your needs, advise and fit the best brace that you might require.

Annie is also our specialist Vestibular Rehab physiotherapist and is able to help with all types of dizziness disorders.

Annie will be based at the Kemptown clinic.

Anja Wachter

Bsc(hons), MCSP, Registered with HCPC

Anja qualified as a Physiotherapist in Germany in 1999 before coming over to the UK in 2003. She gained a further degree in Manual Therapy in 2004. Anja worked in rehabilitation and sport centres, private practices as well as NHS outpatient departments and hospitals abroad and in the UK. Sha also volunteered as a Physiotherapist for 1 year in South Africa.

She developed many years experience in the orthopaedic field, musculoskeletal area and sports injuries.

In her spare time she loves to be creative in arts and crafts and throwing pottery.

Anja is based at the Hove Clinic.

Hitanshi Joshi

Bsc(hons), MSc Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy, Registered with HCPC and CSP.

Hitanshi qualified as a physiotherapist in India and came to the UK in 2022 to pursue her Masters from the University of Birmingham. She has experience working in private clinics, hospitals and for the Birmingham city council.

Hitanshi specialises in treating MSK patients, and orthopaedic conditions with an evidence-based approach to treatment. In addition, she is certified in Kinesio taping and dry needling and her post-graduate training in manual therapy allows her to use a combined approach with exercise therapy for the best results. 

She has also undertaken specialised training at The Running School in London, where she gained expertise in treating running injuries, optimising performance, and supporting effective recovery for runners

Outside of work, she loves reading mystery novels and exploring cafes in new cities."

Tom Everill

Bsc(hons), MSc, MCSP, Registered with the HCPC

Tom studied at Brighton University in 2012 and has since gone on to train for a masters degree in MSK Physiotherapy.

Working in both private practice and NHS care, where he works as a spinal advanced practitioner. Outside of spines, Tom has a special interest in ACL injuries and sports rehab, particularly relating to skiing and cycling, having worked with a range of athletes from club level to olympians. 

Outside of work, Tom can be found playing in the snow in winter, or out on his bike when the sun is out.

Nella Benvenuti

Bsc(hons), MCSP, Registered with HCPC

Nella trained at the University of Southampton and qualified as a physiotherapist in 2015. She moved to the UK from Budapest in 2008.

Initially, she worked as a physiotherapy assistant in private post-op rehabilitation and convalescence care, including hydrotherapy.

Currently, Nella works in both NHS and the private sector. Her current NHS practice is fracture clinic, A&E, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, working closely with orthopaedic consultants.

Subsequently, Nella's expertise is in musculoskeletal conditions, particularly treating acute and sub-acute injuries; and post-operative rehabilitation. She also has qualifications in Sports Massage and Taping & Strapping. 

Outside of work, Nella likes playing badminton, exploring new places, and she is a big animal lover.

Laura Portlock

Receptionist / Administrator

Laura is based in the Kemptown clinic on Thursdays & Fridays as a Clinical Administrator and Receptionist.

Laura partakes in a vast selection of interests, including law, sovereignty, spirituality, pilates and performance arts. 

She is a people person by nature and enjoys the variety of tasks at the clinic. 

Her friendly, helpful and welcoming manner helps people feel at ease.

Chloe Thornton

Receptionist / Administrator

Chloe is based in the Kempton Clinic Monday, Tuesday & Friday, and brings with her a wealth of experience as a former receptionist, office administrator and health care practitioner. Holding dual Australian/British citizenship, Chloe made the move from Australia to Brighton with her partner in early 2022.

Outside the clinic she utilises her knowledge and experience as a trained midwife, teaching Hypnobirthing Classes and supporting parents to be and fellow midwives through Birth and Mindset Mentoring. In her spare time, she loves photographing the abundance of beauty in Brighton, cold ocean dips, beach BBQ’s, hiking and travel.

Her warm and friendly demeanour creates a calm atmosphere, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and welcome.”
