At Brighton Physiotherapy Clinic, we take a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. This means considering not just your physical condition but also your lifestyle, goals, and overall health. Our aim is to empower you to take an active role in your recovery through education, awareness, and active participation in your treatment plan.
Physiotherapy can benefit you at any stage of life:
Relieve back pain or recover from sudden injuries
Manage chronic medical conditions effectively
Prepare for life events such as childbirth or athletic challenges
We see movement as a cornerstone of your health. Our expert team is here to help identify and address the underlying issues that may be causing pain, stiffness, or weakness, so you can move better and feel better.
Soft Tissue Massage
Soft Tissue Massage describes a range of techniques a physiotherapist can use to treat your soft tissues i.e. muscle, ligaments, scar tissue etc. It is used to reduce tension, assist with stretching & promote healing by increasing blood supply to the area.
Mobilisations
Mobilisations are a gentle form of joint movement. They are performed by your physiotherapist to relieve joint stiffness and pain, helping to increase range of movement and assist in rehabilitation.
Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is the key to recovery. We will start your rehabilitation as early as we can to improve your function and help you reach your full potential. This will consist of an agreed exercise programme consisting of specific strength and stretch exercises aimed at aiding your recovery.
Electrotherapy
Electrotherapy, for example therapeutic ultrasound may be used by your physiotherapist if you have an acute injury to help increase the circulation, reduce pain and aid in the healing, recovery and rehabilitation of your injury.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture can be used by physiotherapists as a treatment for pain and muscle relaxation. It is likely that naturally released endorphins are produced and are responsible for the benefits experienced.
